300°C Heat Resistant Epoxy Adhesive is a two-component adhesive system (consisting of Resin and Hardener) specially designed to maintain strong bonds in extreme temperature environments. It is a leading technical solution replacing mechanical welding in various machine component repair scenarios.
Key Features
- Superior Heat Resistance: The most important characteristic is the ability to maintain mechanical and physical properties at temperatures up to 300°C (short-term) and stable operation at 200°C - 250°C continuously.
- Extreme Bonding Strength: Once fully cured, it forms a rock-hard block capable of withstanding high tensile, compressive, and impact forces.
- Good Chemical Resistance: Unaffected by water, grease, solvents, and mild acids/alkalis, protecting joints in chemical industrial environments.
- Low Shrinkage: Minimal shrinkage during curing, perfectly sealing cracks and voids without gaps.
- Excellent Electrical Insulation: Suitable for electronic components or machinery requiring electrical isolation at high temperatures.
Technical Application Guide
- Step 1: Cleaning: Thoroughly clean surfaces with solvent (such as Acetone or alcohol). If smooth, lightly sand to create a better bonding profile.
- Step 2: Mixing: Mix components A and B according to the manufacturer's specified ratio (usually 1:1). Stir evenly until color is uniform.
- Step 3: Application: Apply adhesive to surfaces and press firmly together.
- Step 4: Curing: Initial drying time ranges from 30 minutes to 2 hours. However, to achieve 300°C heat resistance, full curing takes 24 hours at room temperature.
Practical Applications
- Machinery Repair: Bonding and sealing cracks in machine bodies, engine blocks, heat sinks, or steam pipes.
- Electronic Components: Potting or fixing components on circuit boards exposed to high operating temperatures.
- Automotive Industry: Bonding parts in engine compartments, exhaust systems, or vehicle lights.
- Mold Manufacturing: Filling pinholes in metal casting or plastic molds.
Precautions
- Mixing Ratio: Incorrect ratios will prevent curing or cause brittleness, significantly reducing heat resistance.
- Batch Size: Mix only what can be used within 15-20 minutes (pot life), as it cures rapidly after mixing.
- Safety: Wear gloves during handling as Epoxy can cause skin irritation. Use in well-ventilated areas.
- Post-Curing: Some high-temperature epoxies require post-curing to achieve maximum hardness.
